Welcome to Roswell Bookstore, where you can browse for what you want and leave with more. Since the inventory is dependent on our customers, it changes every day. Even frequent shoppers make surprising finds and incredible bargains every time they visit.
Located in the basement of an old retail building with minimal signage, our location seems deceptively modest. The entry, with the original sign from 1975 and beautiful flowers in a wooden tub, opens up into a surprising large, neat and well-organized and well-stocked store. Newcomers (and even some longtime residents) are inevitably surprised when they learn about us; we don't have high visibility but we have loyal customers and the best kind of advertising - their recommendation by word-of-mouth.
We specialize in clean, used books of every genre, including audiobooks. Although many of our books seem new, the only new books we carry are classics, driven by the high demand by students in the area. With 100,000 used books, it is nearly impossible not to find something interesting that's a real bargain. Everywhere you turn there's something to make you smile.
Being an independent bookstore is a challenge, but one we enjoy. Our customers love to read and enjoy the fact that we know our inventory and are helpful in locating and/or recommending books and authors. We greet many customers by name and have welcomed many a well-behaved pet into the store. Let us know what you're looking for , and we'll stay on the lookout for it and call you when it comes in. That's a whole different service from what you find at the big chain stores or the discount warehouses.
